Katherine (Katie) Huso is a partner at Matovich, Keller & Huso, P.C. practicing in the areas of insurance defense, insurance coverage and bad faith, and personal injury defense. She regularly provides legal opinions on a broad range of property and liability insurance issues, and has achieved successful outcomes for her clients through declaratory judgment actions. Katie is admitted to practice before all Montana state courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Katie is experienced in all aspects of litigation, including trial and appeal. She has jury trial experience in Montana local, state and federal courts, where she has represented both individual and corporate clients. Katie also provides pro bono legal services to low-income clients through a local referral program.
Katie has been selected as a Mountain States Super Lawyers “Rising Star” every year since 2015. She has received a BV-Distinguished rating from Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review.
Katie graduated from the University of Montana School of Law in 2007. Prior to joining Matovich, Keller & Huso, Katie practiced litigation and insurance defense at the Corette, Pohlman & Kebe law firm in Butte.
In her free time, Katie enjoys boating, skiing and traveling with her husband, spending time with her rescue dachshunds Bianca and Copper, and visiting her parents in Joliet. Katie also serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors of the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter.
